What We Do

Sali Group-ES is an engineering firm that was founded in 2002 with the specific intention

of designing and fabricating industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. We

specialize in automotive, steel, food and agriculture applications.


What We Have Done

Our core team consists of professionals that each have more than 30 years of

experience in the water/wastewater arena. Specific to industrial applications, we are proud to highlight the following accomplishments of our team members

  • Participated in more than 35 major automotive wastewater treatment facilities globally.
  • Worked on projects at more than a dozen plants that have water reclaim or zero liquid discharge operations.
  • Designed and constructed wastewater treatment systems that include biological [aerobic and anaerobic], membrane separation and physical chemical technologies.
  • Assisted in research programs with local state universities with anaerobic and membrane systems.
  • Created pilot test systems and, with our local partners, we fabricated skid based systems.

SR. PROCESS ENGINEER 

We are looking for a Sr. Process Engineer to support our industrial water and wastewater programs. We perform both design and design-build projects. With this unique opportunity you are compensated based on project revenue and receive commission on projects developed or sold. You can work from the office, client space or home. You set your work hours to best meet client needs. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 15 plus years’ experience and wants to work in a flexible, challenging and profitable environment.


Sr. Process Engineer should have industrial water and wastewater experience. Candidate will be responsible for design and construction deliverables for projects on industrial water and wastewater systems. This position also requires a working knowledge of water and wastewater systems, along with field experience on project installation or implementation. 


Key duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Work as team leader to complete designs, including working w/ PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Lead engineering studies, write reports, develop and complete engineering calculations.
  • Prepare designs for plant installations, coordinate with design/drafting staff, and prepare equipment and construction specifications. Specifications will include major items of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams to complete necessary project tasks.
  • Develop bid packages for equipment and contractors.
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Represents the client in meetings and conferences to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate a project.
  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a medium to large engineering project or a number of smaller complex projects with overall responsibility for budget adherence, schedule adherence, quality control, and inter-discipline coordination.
  • Responsible for acceptance or rejection of major items involving materials, equipment, manufacturer's quality, and field construction.
  • Define project scope of work and organizes into manageable tasks.
  • Maintain continuing professional education in discipline.
  • Participate in client contact and business development activities.
  • Meets with client to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction.
  • Perform fieldwork to support the above responsibilities.


Requirements

At a minimum the applicant must have the following to be considered.

  • A bachelor of science degree in engineering.
  • 10 years’ experience as a discipline engineer

Preferred, but not required qualifications:

  • A PE license in Michigan, Indiana or Ohio
  • Member of WEF, ASCE or other national trade association


Physical Requirements

This job has some physical requirements that are critical to performing the duties with this role.

  1. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  2. Frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  3. Travel is required.


Skills

To be successful at this position, you should have or be willing to learn the following.

  • MS Office Suite [Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint]
  • MS Project
  • AUTOCAD
  • REVIT
  • Familiarity with industrial water/wastewater/production fluid pipe and pump systems.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley Controls systems and associated instrumentation.
  • Comfortable in an office and construction or industrial setting.
  • Good written and verbal skills


General

Job Type: Full-time or full time Contract

Hours: 40+ hours per week depending on workload, project schedules and employee schedule.

Availability: Immediate


Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
